Daniel William Morley
Morley has been a Golf Professional since graduating college in
2002. He was born in 1980 and lived in Nova Scotia,
Canada until 1998.
Dan started playing golf at the age of 7 and quickly picked up talents
and skills. He broke par for the first time when he was 12 and did
it regularly at 15 when his handicap was scratch. Dan has competed
at the highest level in Canadian Junior Golf achieving ranks inside
the top 15 nationwide, at times inside the top 10.
“I did not have a job in high school, but my achievements as
a junior golfer allowed me to accept a golf scholarship to play on
the golf team at Winthrop University. I have a business degree and
a world of experience to show for those 4 years. Success as a junior
golfer saved me about $60,000 in tuition, so instead of making your
kid flip burgers or deliver papers this summer, send them to the golf
course. I cut grass on my free time to help pay for tournament entries,
equipment and other expenses”
After college Morley joined the PGA Professional Golf Management program, and has been formally teaching the game of golf ever since.
He is a huge fan of teaching the game and plays competitively as well.
Dan plays professional golf where his teaching schedule will allow. “I make more than I
spend, so I consider myself successful. Should I ever be in the right
place at the right time, I would take a shot on the PGA Tour, but
if I spend the rest of my life teaching golf I will be happy.”
